Context
Kalmora offers immersive experiences centered around well-being, meaningful connections, and reconnecting with oneself, all set in exceptional locations. As part of the company’s growth, Kalmora was transitioning its website from WordPress to Framer. This migration provided an opportunity to rethink the website’s structure and create an experience more aligned with Kalmora’s identity.

Objectives
My role primarily focused on designing user interfaces and implementing them in Framer. I also contributed to the development of communication materials (emails, invitations, etc.), strengthening the brand’s visual identity and digital ecosystem, as well as designing aspects of the customer experience.
Project process
✦ Website UX/UI Design
Objective: Design and build the website pages with a visual approach more aligned with the brand’s identity and vision.
Each new page or feature started with a design phase in Figma, before moving into Framer for implementation.
• Wireframing and UI design in Figma
• Implementation in Framer after approval
Working on the implementation allowed me to learn and quickly get comfortable with Framer, including components, variables, CMS, interactions, and more.
I also contributed to the website’s e-commerce functionality, including product management and Stripe integration for payments.
✦ Communication materials
Objective: Design practical communication materials to extend and enhance the Kalmora experience.
✦ Email Templates
I designed several email templates for different stages of the customer journey:
• Newsletter
• Booking confirmation
• Thank-you email
• Pre- and post-experience communication
Each template started with a design concept in Figma, before being implemented in Mailchimp once approved. My goal was to create reusable templates that could easily adapt to the brand’s different communication needs.

✦ Instagram
Objective: Provide a clear and easily reusable foundation for future social media content.
To support the development of Kalmora’s presence on social media, I was tasked with creating a social media content guide bringing together the key elements of the account’s visual direction.

✦ Logo
Kalmora already had a defined and established visual identity. To strengthen the brand’s consistency, I was tasked with rebuilding the logo to create a clean, properly constructed vector file, suitable for use across different formats.

Work completed:
• Logo redesign in Illustrator, carefully recreating its original construction and proportions.
• Creation of logo variations to ensure consistent brand recognition across different formats and touchpoints.
• Creation of brand guidelines documenting the logo variations and their usage rules.

✦ Gifting experience design
Objective: Design a memorable gifting experience for Kalmora’s clients.
Research:
• Defining the type of gift — product categories, positioning, and price range — to ensure consistency with Kalmora’s brand universe and target audience.
• Researching potential brand partners.
Experience Design:
• Designing the overall gifting experience.
• Exploring packaging, introduction, presentation, and personalization.
I presented my research and concepts in a comprehensive board combining a moodboard, marketing objectives, suitable product categories, and ideas for the design and presentation of the gifts. The project resulted in four gift box concepts, each tailored to different Kalmora experience themes.

Challenges
Working with Framer meant adapting to a new environment and facing new technical and functional challenges.
These constraints pushed me to research, deepen my knowledge, and experiment with different solutions to overcome the obstacles I encountered. I came away from this experience with valuable new skills that I can apply to future projects.
Conclusion & Learnings
This experience allowed me to discover Framer, a tool I was able to quickly get comfortable with thanks to my previous experience with Figma, while exploring a new approach to designing and building an e-commerce website.
The variety of tasks also broadened my perspective on the role of a designer, allowing me to work across digital experiences, brand identity, and communication materials.
Finally, working on a real project in development, with genuine challenges and strong potential, was particularly rewarding. It gave me the opportunity to put my skills into practice while strengthening my ability to adapt, explore solutions, and respond to real-world needs.
